Countries That Produce Carbon Dioxide
Over the years the amount of CO2 in the environment has increased. This has been a major factor in global warming and in international pollution. There are some countries that produce carbon dioxide more often than others. Some of these countries are still growing. However, there are some more populated countries that have significantly lower emissions.
In 2007 the United States by far led the world in terms of the amount of carbon dioxide produced in a country. About six billion metric tons of carbon dioxide was produced in the United States in the past year. This is about a fifth of the entire world's production of carbon dioxide. This makes for this country as the greatest in terms of international pollution through carbon dioxide.
China has been growing over the years, and more than a billion people are living in the country today. The country is also blossoming in capitalism, commerce and international trade. Many companies are also moving their services to China. As a result more factories and power plants have to be built, and more vehicles are being used. While these have helped the people of China there are also concerns about the environmental impact the country has. China is second in carbon dioxide production at about five billion metric tons.
Some of the larger countries in the world have been especially active in terms of the production of global warming. Russia, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom and India have been among the leaders in international pollution through global warming.
There are large countries that have been more lenient in terms of CO2. Australia, which has been known for its efforts in conserving energy, has emitted a mere three hundred million metric tons of the gas in 2007. One of the major factors here involves the switch to energy saving light bulbs throughout public and private places in the country, as standard bulbs are no longer sold in the country.
The countries that produce carbon dioxide at the lowest levels are the ones that are not as densely populated or well evolved in society. For instance, countries like Nepal, Georgia and Madagascar create less than five million metric tons of carbon dioxide. This is a major factor in the evidence that industrialization has caused a massive increase in carbon dioxide.
These are some of the countries that produce CO2. There are various countries that create more carbon dioxide, and the United States and China are the most common. There are some countries that also create plenty of global warming, but some countries, especially Australia, have created less than others. These countries are ones that should definitely look into what they are doing regarding the environment.
